What is A community interest company and what does that mean?
A CIC is a special type of limited company which exists to benefit the community rather than private shareholders and any assets or profits belong to the CIC and not the Team involved in running the operation.
Can I donate to the project?

If I donate now where will the money be spent and who manages this?
All monies raised will help to cover annual running costs to deliver our amazing program to disabled children and adults.
Who will build the boat and why that type of boat?
Dawson Marine will build the boat at cost and the Swift Cat design was chosen due to its amazing stability and fuel efficiency which is tried and tested.
Who will be the focus groups that will be subsidised to use the boat?
Main focus will be those with disabilities , health issues ,schools working with disabled , SEN children and organisations with specific access needs.
What will those using the boat be able to do and see while on the water?
An introduction to the wonderful scenery and wildlife off the shores Mersea Island and also the vast Historical heritage along the River water Blackwater. Plus, all who come on board will have the opportunity to drive the boat
Where do you operate From?
West Mersea Jetty and other accessible Jettys on the River Blackwater when requested.
When do you operate?
Normal operating days will be Tuesday - Sunday times will be posted on the booking page due to tide.
Can I park near the boat?
We have a dedicated space for a minibus near the launching jetty and there are also car parks within 5 minutes of our location.
How many people can fit on the boat?
12 people can be aboard this can be up to 6 Wheelchairs at one time
Are the staff qualified?
Yes!
All the skippers hold the relevant qualifications to take the boat out to sea and all other staff have full induction and training.
All other staff, be they volunteers or employed, will have full operational induction, safeguarding and disability awareness training.
What safety equipment is provided?

Can I eat on board?
We will offer bolt on packages to the trips but there are also many restaurants and take away available nearby.
Can I buy food and drinks on board?
Yes!
There will be snacks and drinks available to purchase
Can I hire the whole boat for the day?
